Since 1999, the Armenian National Science and Education Fund (ANSEF) has promoted Armenia’s rich scientific and cultural traditions, and fueled its social and economic growth. Scientific research is typically under funded and as a result many researchers must move outside their nation’s borders for support. ANSEF combats this drain by providing $5,000 yearlong research grants to a select number of Armenia’s top scientists whose findings contribute to innovation.

More than $1.5 million in grants has fueled more than 230 independent projects thus far, enabling many to pursue cutting edge work in the natural and social sciences, engineering, the humanities, and further contribute to the growth of a knowledge-based economy. ANSEF is also the springboard from which grantees can launch larger projects and ultimately bridge the path to greater scientific achievement.
