8/20/07 - While Dr. and Mrs. Raffi and Vicki Shoghag Hovanessian visited the FAR-sponsored Azad Shishian Octet Music School in Gyumri, they met 11-year old Ani. It was a meeting that changed her life forever.

8/9/07 - A few years ago, it would have been impossible to even imagine the existence and functioning of an up-to-date information technology center in any other place in Armenia but Yerevan. Today, that dream has not only come true, but can boast its first trained graduates! The 17 graduates of the Gyumri Information Technology Center (GITC) hail from Gyumri and the Shirak province.

7/10/07 - During the joint tour of Armenia by the FAR Board of Directors and the Diocesan Council of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern), a moving ceremony was held to open the newly renovated FAR office building in Yerevan, which was named in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Kevork and Sirvart Hovnanian.
