YOUNG PROFESSIONALS TRIP TO ARMENIA AND KARABAGH

JUNE 4th TO 18th, 2005

"We are grateful for the opportunity to have toured Armenia with the Young Professionals Trip (YPT) of the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR). Our group was treated to several sights every day and a very comfortable stay. On the one hand, with the guidance of this FAR tour, we gained an overview, an introduction to Armenia's sights and sounds, while on the other hand, it allowed our group first-hand glimpses into how FAR's efforts play a role in answering the needs of our motherland. It also gave us each an opportunity for a very personal experience that has resulted in profound feelings of connection, deep empathy for our people, and a sense of the grand ambiance of an ancient, romantic city and historic countryside."

Anahid Ugurlayan & Arpy Tarpinian, 2002 trip participants.

This program affords young Armenian-American professionals between the ages of 23 and 40 the opportunity to travel to Armenia as a group. Participants will do more than simply learn about the country: they will also meet and dialogue with important leaders, acquaint themselves with Armenia's place in the world—and with her religious, artistic, political and economic achievements.

  • Visit major religious and historic sites and national shrines
  • Dialogue with religious, political, artistic and business leaders
  • Encounter Armenian life, culture, history and our tradition of faith
  • Visit FAR-sponsored projects
  • Worship at Holy Etchmiadzin and churches throughout the country
  • Attend performances of the arts and music
