Public Radio Director Talks About Artsakh

At FAR, a great part of our work is to help provide opportunity to Armenians so they can improve their lives and strengthen their society. Access to education has always been a huge part of this, and FAR’s scholarships are a cornerstone of our education efforts.

It is even more rewarding when we can see the impact of our scholarships manifested in the career paths of our scholarship alumni.

And so we would like to introduce you to Ani Minasyan, 26, recipient of FAR’s Margaret Ajemian Ahnert Scholarship. A graduate of Yerevan State University’s Department of Journalism, she earned her master’s degree in 2018. Ani is currently Director of Public Radio of Artsakh.

Ani moved to Artsakh for her job three months ago and in that time she has already found herself in the middle of a conflict zone where her media outlet is now not only providing crucial 24/7 news coverage to residents in Artsakh, but also broadcasting messages from all over the world to soldiers on the frontlines.

Watch this video to learn more. As always, FAR is incredibly proud to support young Armenians like Ani who are making a crucial impact through their careers. It also makes our work more important than ever.
