The Piano.

Levon Minasian’s film The Piano illustrates the difficulty of life in Gyumri’s temporary shelters more than 13 years after the earthquake. This story focuses on a young aspiring pianist, born on the day of the Gyumri earthquake, who receives the gift of her own piano. Too large to fit inside the shelter she shares with her grandfather, the piano remains outside, eventually attracting the attention of her neighbors. Each has a different reaction to such a beautiful and inspiring object in the midst of their somber surroundings.
