Abp. Barsamian Discusses Safety of Middle East Christians in Obama Meeting.

The Primate emphasized that while other parties in the peace process have influential voices speaking on their behalf, the region's Christian populations are virtually voiceless, and easily marginalized.

Washington - Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern), was one of 20 U.S. church leaders to meet with President Barak Obama, in a special White House meeting on November 1.

The heads of 16 Christian denominations-including the Armenian, Greek Orthodox, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Evangelical Lutheran, and other churches-along with executives from the National Council of Christ in the U.S.A., and Church World Service, took part.
