In what will be supposedly the first political protest of his life, Charles Aznavour will join a rally in front of the French Senate to ask that a measure be passed to criminalize denial of the Genocide.
PARIS, France (Combined Sources)—Famous French Armenian singer and Armenia’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Charles Aznavour, will join a scheduled rally in front of the French Senate to ask the legislative body to pass a measure criminalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide.
The Paris-based Nouvelles d’Arménie newspaper reported that Aznavour will take part in a political protest for the first time in his life. The event, initiated by Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations in France, will also bring together Patrick Devedjian, Serge Klarsfeld, and other public figures.
