Virtuoso pianist Tigran Hamasyan releases a new solo album, A Fable, establishing himself in a new, but much anticipated status, as a groundbreaking composer and jazz instrumentalist of our time.
Three years ago, when the English version of Yerevan magazine just began its publication, young jazz pianist and composer – and winner of the 2006 Thelonious Monk Competition – Tigran Hamasyan, was one of the first musicians whose profile we wanted to present. Back then he lived in Los Angeles. But before we could reach him, he relocated to New York to study at a prestigious jazz school.
