July 7th to 21st, 2010
July 7th - Depart from JFK to Vienna flight OS 88 at 5:50pm
(Alternative July 8th - Depart from JFK to Moscow flight SU 314 at 2:20pm)
July 9th - Arriving Yerevan via Moscow at 2:50pm, via Vienna at 4:45am. lodging at Golden Tulip Hotel.
July 10th - After breakfast visit FAR office. Depart to Garni (1st century) lunch then Geghard (13th century).
July 11th - Tour of Echmiadzin, St. Hripsime and St. Gayane churches, badarak in the Cathedral.
July 12th - Depart for Gumri visit FAR projects and the city. Overnight in Gumri: “Arax” Hotel.
July 13th - Depart for Sanahin and Haghbat (10th century) preserved by UNESCO, included in World Heritage List. Overnight in Dzoraget “Tufenkian” Hotel.
July 14th - Depart for Dilijan. Visit the peninsula on lake Sevan and the chapels of 12th century. Visit of the Dzaghgadzor winter resort.
July 15th - Site seeing of Yerevan, Genocide memorial, Matenadaran, St Gregory Church, the Cascade.
July 16th - Depart to Oshakan, Saghmosavank Ambert lunch in Ashtarak.
July 17th - Depart to Goris, make a stop in Khor Virap. After lunch visit Datev Monastery (12th century). Overnight in “Mirhav” Hotel in Goris.
July 18th - After breakfast depart to Stepanakert /Karabakh/ lodging at Hotel Yerevan. Visit Stepanakert . After lunch depart to Gandzasar Monastery.
July 19th - After breakfast visit Sushi town, lunch in Noravank Complex (12th century). Return to Yerevan, Check in at Golden Tulip Hotel.
July 20th - Visit Diaspora Minister. Free day for shopping or museum.
July 21st - Depart to the airport for NY via Vienna OS 642 at 5:40am or Moscow SU 192 at 7:00am. Arriving JFK via Vienna at 2:15pm or via Moscow at 5:00pm.
Total cost of the land package - $1,555 (single supplement +$450)
Includes: Double-occupancy hotel accommodation, air port transfers, all taxes, two meals per day in Yerevan, tree meals per day outside of Yerevan, entrance fees, and guided daily sightseeing.
Does not include: Visas (Armenia $8, Karabagh $11), gratuities, concerts. Air Fare: via Vienna $1,685/ via Moscow $ 1,100.
