We are proud and delighted to share that the Armenian Mirror-Spectator has spotlighted the life and work of Sahan Arzruni. In this feature, the renowned pianist, composer, and cultural ambassador reflects on his lifelong dedication to preserving and promoting Armenian music and heritage.
A cherished friend of FAR and a generous philanthropist, Arzruni will perform a piano recital on April 13 at 5 p.m. at Robbins Memorial Town Hall in Arlington. This special event, dedicated to Armenian women composers, is open to the public and free of charge.
Arzruni’s journey with FAR began in 1989 when he was offered a leadership role. After careful consideration, he declined. “I would have had to leave my music behind, which wasn’t an option for me. Nevertheless, this marked the beginning of my close connection with FAR, which continues to this day,” he shared in an interview.
As a dedicated philanthropist, Sahan Arzruni’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians goes far beyond performances. Through his organized masterclasses and mentorship programs, he has empowered young musical talents in Armenia for years, helping them develop both their technical skills and a deeper connection to Armenian musical traditions.
