AmeriCaresrepresentatives last week visited Armenia and FAR’s Yerevan office to check the progress of several of FAR’s projects and further discuss ways both organizations can better work together. FAR, specifically the Children’s Support Foundation Center (CSFC), the Vanadzor Old Age Home (VOAH) and the Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, are permanent and longstanding recipients of support from AmeriCares.
Tummy Allen, director of Asia & Eurasia Partnerships, and Hannah Taylor, Eurasia Partnerships associate, first met with FAR’s Country Director Bagrat Sargsyan, Deputy Director Margarit Piliposyan and Health Programs Manager Hambartsum Simonyan. They then spent the week making scheduled visits to several hospitals in Yerevan and paid visits to the Children’s Center and VOAH.
