FAR’s very own Health Programs Coordinator, Hambardzum Simonyan, was published in the May issue of Yerevan State Medical University’s scientific journal titled Medicine: Science and Education. Hambardzum co-authored the article with YSMU’s Gevorg Yaghjyan.The article is titled “Current Issues of the Continuing Medical Education (CME), Credit Accumulation System Reforms in Armenia.”
In the article, the authors suggest a “CME Credit Accumulation System” method which is based on the Russian and Canadian models, as well as their own personal experiences with CME. The aim of the postgraduate health care education crediting system is to improve professionals’ continuing education by making education more accessible, affordable and standardized.
