Gavar #1 Special School renovations have officially started. The school’s Recovery Physical Therapeutic Center, which caters to children with mental and physical disabilities, is expected to be updated with modern amenities and equipment by the time the new year starts in September thanks to FAR's support. These renovations will make it possible for children in need of such support to stay at their home school for treatment instead of spending valuable time and resources searching for alternative facilities for help.
This week, FAR staff members Edik Karapetyan and Hambardzum Simonyan along with Chief Engineer Harutyun Hovsepyan paid a visit to Gavar and were able to see some of the progress made on the construction since their previous visit in April. They were joined by the Very Reverend Father Aren Jebejian from St. Gregory the Illuminator Church of Chicago, a member of the Armenian Church's Supreme Spiritual Council, Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America. Father Aren is aware of the school’s issues after having spent one year in the region as the Spiritual Father of Gegharkunik Diocese by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
