One of the latest versions of the Gegharkunik Region Historical Encyclopedia has a page devoted to the great Armenian-American benefactor Jerar Nishanian, illustrating his important educational contributions to the country. The encyclopedia includes general descriptions of the region's communities, their rich traditions and history.
FAR administers the Jerar Nishanian Scholarship Program, which enables numerous students from low-income families to receive scholarships and stipends and attend university. We’re happy that the work of this great benefactor has received some recognition.
