Gyumri Information Technology Center (GTech)Executive Director Amalya Yeghoyan and Aram Harutyunyan of GTech’s Business Development Unit(BDU) , participated in the first Armenian-Russian Inter-Regional Conference this past Tuesday in Yerevan.
The conference was initiated due to an agreement between Russian and Armenian governments to work together in developing the business potential of both countries' rural regions. Over 500 representatives from the Armenian and Russian public and private sectors came together to sign agreements of cooperation. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan during the conference highlighted the important relationship between Russian and Armenian business, stating that over $3 billion has been invested by Russians to support Armenian business ventures.
GTech’s representatives presented the center's goals and activities to the Russian businessmen over the duration of the two-day conference. GTech is excited about the future. Greater focus on the regions of Armenia will only help enhance the opportunities that our IT training brings to the Gyumri community.
