Mathevosian Scholar Wins Economics Olympiad, Receives Job Offer.

FAR has many clever and talented educational program beneficiaries. We delight in each of their successes as if they were our own. Recently, FAR was especially happy to hear of Mathevosian Scholarship beneficiary Suren Martirosyan’s latest achievement. A fourth-year student at Yerevan State University’s (YSU) Department of Economics, Suren recently won an Academic Olympiad on economics. The Olympiad, which was organized by Yerevan State University’s Student Scientific Council, was held April 1st through 3rd in Tsaghkadzor. Suren was recognized as the winner in the final round. The same day, Suren received a job offer from Prometey Bank, with a start date of May 1st.

Along with his winner’s certificate, he received the “Maestro” Bank Card and a prize in the amount of 70,000 AMD from Prometey Bank.

During our conversation, I asked Suren about his future plans. “I still have a lot of things to accomplish. I will try to deepen my knowledge by earning a master’s degree while I work. This new offer is an excellent opportunity to use my achieved knowledge in practice,” he said.
