One Year after Forced Displacement Diana Never Gave up!

Since 2023, supporting displaced Artsakhtsis has been one of FAR’s top priorities. Through our initiative, we’re helping entrepreneurs and startups, especially those from conflict-affected, displaced, and rural communities in Armenia, build and grow their businesses.

In 2024 alone, nearly 130 people applied to our Small Business Assistance (SBA) program, generously supported by the Atesian Family Foundation. As a result, 44 promising business ideas received vital financial support, including Diana Martirosyan, who turned her dream into reality by launching a beauty salon that now employs five fellow Artsakhtsi women.

Forced to leave her home, Diana was determined not to give up. She sharpened her hairstyling skills, opened her salon, and joined GITC’s #SheCan Women’s Economic Empowerment Accelerator, a four-month course that helped her strengthen her business mindset and skills. 

Today, Diana’s salon is not just a place of beauty: it’s a space of hope and opportunity.
