Our partners are incredible. Recently, several doctors from Harvard with whom we’ve worked closely traveled to Armenia from Boston to conduct training in first-point-of-care ultrasound.
Dr. Achikam Oren-Grinberg and his team from Boston, Dr. Eli Gelfand, Dr. Keith Boniface, Dr. Akvia Leibowitz, and Dr. Lior Fuchs focused on up-to-date medical trends in echocardiological approaches. The doctors paid for all of their travel and accommodations and volunteered their time, entirely on their own initiative.
“This is a very important topic particularly for neuro specialists working the night shift in hospital emergency rooms, particularly during mass casualty emergencies, which our border regions face from time to time,” said our Health Programs Director Dr. Hambardzum Simonyan.
“We had a great visit last year with Dr. Eli Gelfand and held a few lectures, and a conference and figured out what would be the next step to have a relationship and give our expertise on ultrasound. We thought it would be a good idea to come again and run a hands-on course here in Yerevan,” said Dr. Achikam Oren-Grinberg.
We cannot express our gratitude enough to these physicians. Thank you for supporting healthcare in Armenia.
