Artsakh Medical Centers Receive Vital Equipment

For Christmas, we provided lifesaving medical resources to Artsakh.

Medical kits consisting of 17 oxygen concentrators, 19 perfusion pumps, and two portable ultrasound machines were distributed to medical centers in Stepanakert, Martuni, and Martakert as part of our COVID-19 Emergency Response Program within FAR's Doctors for Artsakh Project. Such equipment is essential after the war shattered Artsakh’s healthcare system and its ability to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.

"These kits will improve the quality of healthcare in Artsakh in the fight against COVID-19. After assessing the needs, items were distributed to the institutions that needed them the most,” said our Healthcare Program Director Dr. Hambardzum Simonyan.

This part of the Doctors for Artsakh Project was the continuation of a partnership we’ve had with Direct Relief International, with whom we’ve been closely working to deliver medical aid to Armenia and Artsakh for several years.

“FAR has always been a huge support for us, and these particular resources are a significant contribution to the reconstruction and development of Artsakh’s healthcare system,” said Artsakh State Minister Artak Beglaryan.
