Easter Joy Shared with Over 1,500 FAR Beneficiaries Across Armenia

Colorful traditions, joyful songs, and festive dishes filled FAR-supported kindergartens, soup kitchens, Vanadzor Old Age Home, and children’s support center both in Yerevan and Berd this Easter, as more than 1,500 children, seniors, and families in need came together to celebrate the holiday in warmth and dignity.
In the kindergartens of Aragatsotn and Tavush provinces, nearly 600 children, who have benefited from FAR’s nutrition program, joined in the Easter celebrations. Local priests opened the festivities with a blessing and the Lord’s Prayer, followed by singing, games, and Easter-themed meals designed to be both festive and nutritious.
“This has become a must-celebrate event for both us and the children,” shared Armine Gharibyan, Principal of Kosh Kindergarten, during the opening ceremony. “The kids get so excited and put great effort into preparing. It’s not just about food and games -it’s about teaching the meaning of Christian holidays in a way that’s joyful and memorable. Even the Easter menu is thoughtfully designed to be delicious and nourishing.”
FAR’s five soup kitchens across Armenia also held special celebrations for the nearly 800 individuals they serve, offering not only a hot Easter meal, but a reminder that they are seen and valued. The Vanadzor Old Age Home’s 55 elderly residents and the young beneficiaries of FAR’s Children’s Support Center joined in similar heartfelt observances.
Easter Celebration was also made possible thanks to FAR’s dear friend and benefactor, renowned Armenian painter Tigran Matulyan, who also joined in by making a heartfelt donation. Thanks to combined support, 150 beneficiaries of the Byureghavan Soup Kitchen, in loving memory of Yeghsapet Jambazian/Mangoian and Yeghsapet Ambarian/Ouzounian, along with another 650 individuals from FAR’s other soup kitchens, enjoyed a nourishing Easter meal, served with love, care, and a deep sense of community.
