On December 19, FAR hosted its annual Christmas reception at the Nikoghosyan Cultural Foundation's exhibition hall, bringing together nearly 40 Continuing Medical Education (CME) trainers and healthcare professionals for an evening filled with warmth, gratitude, and meaningful connection.

The gathering served as an opportunity to reflect on the collective efforts that continue to strengthen Armenia’s healthcare system, even in the face of ongoing challenges. FAR’s Health Programs Director, Hambardzum Simonyan, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and nurses whose dedication has been instrumental to the success of FAR’s programs.

“The past five years have been quite challenging, yet we have managed to continue our continuous professional development programs,” Simonyan noted. “Today, we are also joined by our displaced colleagues who, thanks to these programs, have been able to navigate the path of continuing their careers here more smoothly. Our programs are vital, as they impact all segments of our country’s population - from children to the elderly. I hope that with the same dedication and unity, we will continue this important mission together in 2026.”

The evening also highlighted the strong sense of community within FAR’s network. Fund for Armenian Relief Fellowship Alumni Association (FAR FAA) President Armine Hakobyan shared her gratitude, emphasizing the importance of FAR’s mission in expanding access to education.

“This gathering is our moment of thanksgiving,” Armine  shared. “FAR’s commitment to education opens doors for professionals who may otherwise be limited by financial or geographic barriers. By supporting continuous learning, FAR empowers our colleagues with the knowledge and skills they need to better serve their communities and advance healthcare throughout Armenia.”
